We’re located at Junction of Ohakune, opposite the majestic Tongariro National Park, UNESCO World Heritage Area.
It’s easy to find us, but hard to leave.
HOW TO GET HERE
The Central Plateau region is centrally located in the middle of the North Island, approximately 5 ½ hours drive from Auckland and 3.5 hours drive from Wellington. There are a number of ways to get to Ohakune from many of the surrounding urban centres. We can provide pick up as well, please don't forget to book us in advance!

By Train
Station Lodge is conveniently located within 200m of the Ohakune Train Station, so why not experience the Northern Explorer and travel through the heart of New Zealand?
The Northern Explorer departs Auckland on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Departs Wellington on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

Intercity Buses operates a daily service outside Hello World Travel.

The Te Araroa - New Zealand's Trail passes by Ohakune, so why not make Station Lodge a refueling stop, and catch up on your washing, resupply your food and share your photos with family and friends back home
